BEACHES
Ranging from the coves and secluded bays of Flamborough head, to the vast golden bays of Bridlington and Hornsea to the sand spit of Spurn Point. If the sand between your toes as you wander by the waves, gathering with your friends or games with the kids on the beach is your happy place then come to East Yorkshire’s coast and explore.
Days at the beach followed by evenings at a bar, chasing waves before pausing to catch the sunset, enjoying the serenity of the sea lapping the sand or the dramatic waves crashing into the cliffs. Explore life in the rockpools and caves, and call of the birds nesting on the cliffs.
BOAT TRIPS
Experience the North Yorkshire coast from a unique perspective. Why not travel in comfort and style between the beautiful seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough, or perhaps take the kids on an adventure and brave the high seas on a pirate ship from Bridlington.
FISHING
If you enjoy a spot of fishing when you go on holiday, whether it’s fishing by a serene river or off shore from a sea-going boat then there is no better place than Yorkshire to satisfy your fix!
WATERSPORTS
Enjoy the water in Yorkshire, try coasteering, kayaking, stand up paddleboards, boat trips, canoeing and family fun at the Aqua Park.
WALKING
One of the best ways to enjoy the coastline of the North York Moors National Park is to walk along the cliff path, which forms part of the Cleveland Way National Trail. The full coastal section from Saltburn to Filey is 53 miles, but you can also walk shorter distances between the towns and villages
